Mr. Arno Janssens holds a law degree from KU Leuven where he graduated magna cum laude in 2019. He obtained an LL.M from The University of Chicago in 2020 as a Fellow of the Belgian American Educational Foundation. During his studies, Mr. Janssens clerked for the President of the Constitutional Court of Belgium, acted as consultant for the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, interned at Lawyers Without Borders, and worked for the Flemish Parliament. He also participated in exchange and internship programs in Canada, Australia, and the USA.
Prior to joining HVDB, Mr. Janssens worked for an international law firm in London where he focused his practice exclusively on complex international arbitrations.
He now acts as counsel, tribunal secretary, and assistant to the tribunal in international disputes under a variety of arbitration rules and applicable law.
Mr. Janssens is admitted to practice in New York and Brussels. He speaks English, Dutch, and French.
